Biography A single child of a working class family, Seto was brought up on middle-class values and aspired to be normal for his entire life. He never expecting any sort of complication or excitement. That's what made it surprising for Seto to be chosen as a potential carrier for being a magical boy in the first place. What made Seto so likely to be chosen was not how ardent his emotions were, but rather how stable he was despite his inexperience. A single death, a car crash, were all strong enough to make him upset and sad, but not enough for break him. His ability to bounce back from all sorts of calamities was what drew Kyuubey's eye towards him. After all, if average things did not throw him into despair, what would eventually throw him into despair would likely cause massive repercussions.
Personality Seto is mild and laid back, often wishing to melt into the background instead of immediately being called out. He has no problem communicating with others and making friends, but generally is called out for his lack of ambition or... anything, really. Seto is painfully aware of how average he is, but he doesn't wish to change it. His life is happy and normal the way it is. That's the way he likes it.
